Pasteur: A chemist that designed pasteurization which cleaned liquids from diseases. His discoveries also lead to a better understanding of germs

Union movement: A time when organizations began to be created for the first time to protect the rights of workers.
Charles Dickens: An author with many famous works such as Oliver Twist which showed the life of everyday people and some who were worse off than others
William Blake: An author, painter and poet that questioned the society of his time. His ideas really symbolized the changes in society occurring during the Industrial Revolution
